Hi! I'm Sara Wasserboehr (WAH-sir-bor), born and raised in the great state of North Carolina.
How tall am I? Most days, I’m an even 6 feet tall (183cm), though that can fluctuate an inch either direction. I chose “Tall Sara” as my brand because “SaraWasserboehr.com” was already taken because no one knows how to say (or spell) my last name. I needed a brand name will a little more stickiness. Sara(h) was such a common first name growing up that when differentiating between different Sara(h)s in my community, I was always referred to as “the tall Sara.” I snapped up TallSara.com as soon as I could!
A little about me: I’ve always loved drawing, and when it became evident in my teenage years I was pursuing the arts, my parents encouraged me to become a well-fed artist who pays her bills. After earning a BFA in Illustration (with a minor in Graphic Design) from SCAD (the Savannah College of Art and Design), I entered the corporate world and built up a lot of experience working for different marketing teams as a graphic designer (who also draws well). I transitioned to UI/UX design in 2022, which I love because it employs both sides of my brain (my mathy-logical left side, and the artsy-creative right side).
Though art and design are huge parts of my identity, I do love other things: singing catchy songs in the shower, collecting coins from around the world, ignoring any sense of self-control around sweet treats, obsessing over Netflix documentary series, and seducing as many cats as possible (the cat distribution system has worked in my favor twice, a la Gatsby and Hamish).

PROFILE
I’m creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer with over two years of experience designing intuitive user experiences for both web and mobile platforms. My journey into design began with a deep love for graphic design, which I’ve been honing for over 8 years. I’m passionate about blending user research, prototyping, and data-driven design to create innovative solutions that solve real problems for both users and businesses.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life, and I’ve also enjoyed mentoring junior designers along the way. Accessibility and inclusivity are really important to me, and I always strive to ensure that the products I create are not just functional but welcoming for everyone. Whether I’m collaborating with developers, crafting scalable design systems, or diving deep into the details of a design, I’m always looking for ways to elevate the user experience.
